Mercedes Ariza is a member of the Centre for Theatre Studies of SITLeC Department. She has held modules in Spanish as a Second Language, Liaison Interpreting (Italian-Spanish) and Oral Language Mediation (Italian-Spanish) at the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators (University of Bologna at Forlì), where she graduated in Conference Interpreting. Her research interests include Acquisition of Spanish as a Second Language; Language Mediator Training; Theatre and Intercultural Competence Acquisition; Idiomatic Competence; Poetry Translation.

Maria Giovanna Biscu is a Research Assistant at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in Translation, Languages and Cultures (University of Bologna at Forlì, Italy). She graduated in Translation Studies at the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators of the University of Bologna at Forlì. She holds a four-year research grant from the SITLeC Department for a project on language mediator training and the role of theatre in intercultural competence acquisition. She is a member of the Centre for Theatre Studies of SITLeC Department. Her research interests include Language Mediator Training; Theatre and Intercultural Competence Acquisition; Intercultural Communication and Theatre Translation.

Daniel Feldhendler is lecturer at the J.W. Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. His main research and teaching interest lies in the application of theatre and psychodramatic methods in basic training and more specialised teacher training courses. He works as a psychodrama director (DAGG/DFP, IAGP), supervisor (DGSv), and Playback-practitioner (International Playback Theater Network). He is co-founder of the PT group Spiegelbühne (Frankfurt), a member of founding committee of the Playback-Theater-Netzwerk e.V. (Frankfurt), as well as a co-founder of the Centre de psychodramaturgie (Mainz). He is engaged in various professional organizations in both Germany and France, including: Netzwerk Theater in der Lehre, Ständige Konferenz Spiel und Theater an deutschen Hochschulen, Association Nationale de Recherche et d’Action Théâtrale (ANRAT), Association pour la Recherche Interculturelle (ARIC), and Association Internationale des Histoires de Vie en Formation (ASIHVIF).

María Isabel Fernández García is a Researcher at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in Translation, Languages and Cultures (University of Bologna at Forlì, Italy) and has been teaching at the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators (University of Bologna at Forlì) since 1989. She has held modules in Spanish as a Second Language, Translation from Spanish into Italian and Oral Language Mediation (Italian-Spanish). In 1992 she started the Spanish university theatre workshop, of which she is the coordinator, and she is the scientific director of the Centre for Theatre Studies Aula di Studi Scenici e Comunicazione Interculturale of Department SITLeC. Among her research interests are Acquisition of Spanish as a Second Language; Language Mediator Training; Theatre and Intercultural Competence Acquisition; Multimedia Translation; Neology.

Stefan Hajduk - Born in 1965, Dr. phil., MA, studied German, philosophy and theater in Frankfurt, Munich, Rome, Naples, Baltimore, 1999 PhD at the Humboldt University in Berlin; Lecturer at the Department of German Studies , Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick, Ireland. Publications of Robert Musil, on Intercultural hermeneutics and to literary modernism, current research on the aesthetics of the atmosphere since the 18th Century.

James Harris is a writer, comic and translator of German literature. He lives in Berlin, where he runs the regular Kafka Comedy, a mixed German/English comedy event.

Bärbel Jogschies – An actress / drama teacher / lecturer in rhetoric and elocution. She was born in 1961, grew up in Stralsund, after high school mathematics studies was broken off, she obtained typesetter and teaching gigs. Finally, she attended acting school in "Ernst Busch" Berlin. After eight years on the stage at the Theater Greifswald or Vorpommern, she married in 1990 and gave birth to son – Maximilian. She has divorced since 1993. In 1996, she studied Drama at the ‘Hochschule der Künste’, this had emphasis on psychology, communication science and education. She took part in Off theater projects, then applied the role of a drama teacher and was involved in theater education services since 2002 at the Maxim Gorki Theater. This created some educational theater science projects. She now lives happily with her son in Berlin.

Alexandra Zimmermann: Has German as a foreign language as well as English and Spanish/Latin American literature at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich. She studied and graduated in Harald Weinrich. At present she teaches language, culture, literature, and a German theater course at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Her research interests lie in the fields of linguistics, intercultural hermeneutics and drama pedagogy. During the last four years of university, theater productions were created under their direction: The liberation of dreams (Rafik Shami) Der Ohrenzeuge (Elias Canetti), The ear-witness (Elias Canetti) Who was Mozart? (Shaffer, Mörike, Mozart) and ETA Hoffmann-Fest (Hoffmann, Offenbach). Her publications include among others, an article about Drama Education (2004): "The large classroom world theater.
