Nils Bernstein ist nach Lehraufträgen in Wuppertal und Hannover und DAAD-Stationen in Chile und Mexiko seit nunmehr fünf Jahren am Sprachenzentrum der Universität Hamburg tätig. Neben der streng kompetenzorientierten Testkoordination (DSH und TestDaF) organisiert er dort mit internationalen Studierenden kulturelle Veranstaltungen mit Musik, Gesang, Rezitation und Spoken Word Poetry. Er interessiert sich insbesondere für das szenische Interpretieren von Gedichten, Musik und Sprechgesang im DaF-Unterricht sowie für kreatives Schreiben und Slam Poetry.

Jeannette Boettcher, Dr., M.A., studierte Anglistik und Germanistik in Düsseldorf, Bonn und Berlin. Sie hat die Lehramtsbefähigung für Englisch und Deutsch und unterrichtete an verschiedenen Schulen in Deutschland und England. Darüber hinaus verbrachte sie mehrere Jahre in Atlanta, USA, wo sie an der Kennesaw State University Deutsch als Fremdsprache lehrte und an einem Forschungsprojekte zum Thema Interkulturelle Kompetenz mitarbeitete. Seit 2012 lehrt sie Fremdsprachendidaktik an der Universität Paderborn, Deutschland.

Stefanie Giebert ist Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben für Englisch und DaF an der Hochschule Konstanz. Seit ca. 20 Jahren ist sie in englischen und deutschen Theaterprojekten aktiv und beschäftigt sich seit ca. 2009 mit Dramapädagogik; leitete z. B. bis 2016 das Business English Theatre an der Hochschule Reutlingen. Ihre Interessen sind Dramapädagogik im universitären Fremdsprachenunterricht mit besonderem Fokus auf Fachsprachen und in technischen Studiengängen, außerdem die Adaption nicht-dramatischer Texte für die Bühne und angewandte Improvisation (applied improvisation).

Eva Göksel Ziltener completed her Masters’ degree in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She has taught German and English using drama-based pedagogies at two Canadian universities, a French elementary school in Switzerland, and a Swiss university. She currently works at the Centre for Oral Communication (Zentrum Mündlichkeit) at the University of Teacher Education Zug, Switzerland. Her research interests include drama in education, storytelling, listening, and the use of drama in second and foreign language teaching and across the curriculum. Eva is currently working towards a doctorate in education at the University of Zurich.

Niklas Hald has worked as an actor for thirty years, combined with writing for the stage and radio. In 2015, he wrote his PhD dissertation about the work of actors performing for children and young people. Since then he has combined acting with research and working as a senior lecturer in acting at The Stockholm University of the Arts.

Ulrike Jaeger ist seit über 20 Jahren Professorin an der Hochschule Heilbronn, Informatikerin, Trainerin für Project-Based-Learning (PBL) und war lange Zeit Didaktik-Beauftragte ihrer Hochschule. PBL ist in Dänemark und den Niederlanden eine gut erforschte Methode. Deren Prinzipien auf die deutsche Wirklichkeit abzubilden, ist eine Herausforderung, lohnt sich aber sehr. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Bärbel Jogschies entstand eine neue Sicht auf die Hintergründe, die in der performativen Lehre ganz ähnlich gelten.

Bärbel Jogschies ist gelernte Schauspielerin und Theaterpädagogin. Seit 20 Jahren arbeitet sie an verschiedenen Theatern und unterrichtet an verschiedenen Hochschulen. Zurzeit leitet sie die Abteilung Theaterpädagogik am Staatsschauspiel Hannover. „Wie gelernt bzw. gelehrt wird, ist mir mindestens so wichtig, wie was gelehrt wird. In meinen Seminaren und Workshops benutze ich die spielerische Kreativität und die lebendige, kollektive Dynamik des Theaters. Die Verbindung von Lehre und Theater ist uralt und essentiell. Die gemeinsame Formel: Vorführende und Aufnehmende treffen sich im Gedankenspiel, als ob/damit es wirklich sei. Simulation/Experiment als Prinzip. Das sind lustvolle Prozesse im folgenfreien Spielraum.

Edith Karimi, geboren 1969 in Polen, lebt seit 1988 in Deutschland und ist Mutter eines Sohnes. Sie studierte Informatik an der Technischen Universität Berlin und arbeitete mehrere Jahre als Unternehmensberaterin und Softwareentwicklerin für die Automobilindustrie im Logistikbereich. Nach dem Pädagogikstudium promovierte sie in Erziehungswissenschaft an der Freien Universität Berlin über das Thema: „Mimetische Bildung durch Märchen: Phantasie, Narration, Moral“. Im Fokus ihres Forschungsinteresses und ihrer Arbeit stehen Sprachbildung und -förderung durch ästhetische Erfahrung.

Samuel Nfor obtained a BA (English), an MA( theatre arts) from the University of Yaoundé, and worked as an actor and high school literature teacher in his native Cameroon. He moved to Japan in 2001 on a Japanese government scholarship and studied Noh and Kyogen. He has appeared in some stage performances in Tokyo, while simultaneously teaching EFL. Currently, he teaches at the University of Tsukuba. His research interests evolve around TESOL-drama, multi-modal discourse analysis and popular theatre. He completed an M.Ed. (Applied Linguistics) with The Open University, UK, in 2018.

Erin Noelliste holds a Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington, and she is currently an Instructor of German and Foreign Language Pedagogy at the University of Northern Colorado. Her research interests include German Language and Linguistics and creative means of including performative pedagogy in the classroom. She is currently working on projects concerning mnemonics in the classroom as well as several articles on German Linguistics, specifically dealing with Bavarian German phonology.

Joseph Noelliste is a Ph.D. candidate in Church Music at Baylor University. Joseph analyzes the interaction between musical structure and religious meaning in sacred art music. Recent paper presentations have centered on the sacred music of Ulysses Kay, Gabriel Fauré, John Stainer, and Franz Liszt. His forthcoming dissertation, On Merging Choirs and Bands: The Capacity and Conflict of Worship-Leading Choir in Contemporary Worship Music, will document the many musical, pedagogical, theological, and liturgical implications arising from the collision of pop/rock based, charismatic, contemporary Christian worship music with the choral tradition and culture of the church.

Róisín O’Gorman is a theatre artist and lecturer in the Department of Theatre at University College Cork, Irland. She studied theatre in
the USA and returned to Ireland in 2007. From her background in theatre historiography, dramatic literature, theory, feminism
and visual culture, Róisín’s current research lives between embodied practices and theoretical understandings of performance.

Manfred Schewe is Professor at University College Cork (UCC) and has always been interested in the building of bridges between different disciplines. At UCC he served as Head of a Language Department (German) and also as Head of Theatre. His teaching and interdisciplinary research activities focus on Applied Drama and Theatre, especially on performative approaches to Language, Literature and Culture, and are closely linked to UCC’s SCENARIO PROJECT, consisting of a peer-reviewed journal, book series and a forum for conferences and symposia.

Anke Stöver-Blahak ist Koordinatorin für Deutsch als Fremdsprache am Fachsprachenzentrum der Leibniz Universität Hannover. Sie arbeitet seit vielen Jahren mit internationalen Studierenden. Langjährige Erfahrungen zeigten ihr, dass Sprachen sich auch im tertiären Bildungsbereich besser mit „Kopf, Herz, Hand und Fuß“ lernen lassen. Wie und warum das funktioniert, erforschte sie in ihrer Dissertation zum Thema „Sprechen und Vortragen lernen mit Gedichten“ in ihrer eigenen Unterrichtspraxis.

Fionn Woodhouse is a lecturer, director, and facilitator of drama/theatre with particular interest in youth participation and learning through practice. Currently, he lectures on a range of modules including Applied Drama & Theatre modules and Theatre Production modules in the Department of Theatre, University College Cork. His research focuses on the impact of participation in educational drama workshops. His is a board member of the Youth Theatre Ireland, the national development organisation for youth theatre. Fionn has recently developed an interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, specifically the structures of learning outcomes and their application in applied drama.
