Immigration of peoples, ideas, and individuals across space and time has fundamentally changed the course of history. The encounter between concepts of 'native' and 'foreign' has initiated some of the most meaningful moments in human history. Immigration as an idea represents one of the key aspects that forms the study of history - a change over time. Whether through created tension or a shared sense of belonging, immigration and movement have edited the historical narrative.

This issue of the journal brought together a diverse range of papers that explored the theme of 'Immigration and Influence', through a variety of thought-provoking and inter-disciplinary perspectives.
