Author Biography

  • Nikolai Preuschoff, New York University Berlin

    Nikolai Preuschoff is a lecturer of German Studies at New York University Berlin and the University of Erfurt. He also taught at University College Cork in Ireland and held a Max Kade Distinguished Visiting Professorship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. His study Mit Walter Benjamin. Melancholie, Geschichte und Erzählen bei W.G. Sebald was published in 2015 (Winter, Heidelberg); he is also a contributing co-editor of Process and Practice: Adaptation Considered as a Collaborative Art (Palgrave Macmillan, London, 2020). His current research focusses on concepts of modesty in modern German literature.
